Hmm, perhaps this would be better resolved if the LFS devs had an official database, or linked to an official database as they do with the manual and forums.

I was merely saying that if it was easier & quicker for devs to release an update so we can make our own tracks without reverse engineering etc., then more people would be helping this community. Perhaps some of you don't understand this logic.

Perhaps if developers stopped trying to do impossible tyre physics, and changed the game so we can develop our own tracks at the very least, it would be perfect.

A good April Fools joke for LFS this year would be the release of Scirocco and Rockingham, with the new physics. That would be really funny.
Ironhorse is going downhill anyway, so no need to worry about Safety Ratings, the server will be dead soon enough.
Simply allowing custom tracks, not cars, would boost the community a huge amount.
I guess smaller updates, more frequently, then a slightly bigger update a bit less often. Kind of like Jagex & RuneScape; they have a great development strategy that has been extremely successful over the past 10 years.

I'd hate to see it happen, but I'm pretty sure LFS will end up as a huge disappointment, with players decreasing in numbers rapidly...probably not in the next couple of years, but it is inevitable at this rate of development.
Of course, it's not too late for Dev's to turn things around and employ more people; they'll be kicking themselves when it all goes to dust.
We'll be very lucky if there is any update this year.
I thought it was Victor who was the guy who did all the graphics stuff? But yeah, I guess it's Scawen that coded the engine. That's the problem with not wanting to expand a workforce. heh
While contacting them, might want to remind them about working on an update for LFS, it seems like they have forgot.
LFS in DX10, or I guess a jump to DX11, would make the game so much more popular, and better. I only hope that Victor, or whoever, has at least considered this, and at least started it. If not, I really wonder what the Devs actually do.
As far as you know, there may have not been any work on the Physics since this report.
I'd be happy if they released it right now. I'm sure the bugs can't be much worse than those that you find when crashing into a barrier.

Everyone is pissed off so much at slow development time, that it'd be best in Devs just told us exactly what they are doing everyday and if its going well. They don't want to do that right now because "it will get our hopes up" then we will be upset once they say it probably won't work.
WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. You've annoyed everyone for so long! We don't care if what you're working on is an experiment. Just tell us something.

But surely faster development would most likely be more profit. Especially since LFS isn't incredibly popular, quicker development would guarantee more profit.
